EP 6: Overcome Self-Sabotage and Achieve Success with Energy Work

Do you find yourself stuck in life and struggling to achieve your goals? If so, you might be dealing with self-sabotaging patterns. These behaviors can hold you back from being the creator of your reality and living the life you truly desire. In this post, we’ll explore common examples of self-sabotage, why you self-sabotage, and how a proven energy healing method can help you overcome these patterns for good.

What Is Self-Sabotage?

Self-sabotage occurs when you want to achieve something, but your behaviors, thoughts, and emotions hold you back. These actions often stem from subconscious blocks that conflict with your conscious desires. Here are some common self-sabotaging patterns:

  • Procrastination: Delaying tasks and putting off responsibilities, even when you know it’s important to get them done.

  • Negative Self-Talk: Constantly doubting yourself, criticizing your abilities, and expecting the worst.

  • Perfectionism: Setting unrealistically high standards and being overly critical of yourself, which can lead to inaction or giving up.

  • Avoidance: Staying away from situations or challenges that might bring discomfort or fear of failure.

The Role of Subconscious Blocks in Self-Sabotage

These examples of self-sabotaging behaviors are driven by subconscious blocks—deep-seated beliefs, thoughts, and emotions that originate from past experiences, traumas, or inherited beliefs. These stuck emotions and limiting beliefs act as energetic blocks within your subconscious mind, keeping you from moving forward.

Understanding the Subconscious Mind

The subconscious mind operates below the level of conscious awareness, functioning like a vast storage system that holds all your memories, beliefs, and experiences. While your conscious mind is responsible for logical thinking, decision-making, and deliberate actions, the subconscious mind runs in the background, influencing your automatic behaviors, habits, and emotional responses. Research suggests that 95% of how you think and behave daily is driven by your subconscious mind.

How Subconscious Blocks Create Resistance

Imagine you consciously want to succeed in your career, but deep down, you hold a subconscious belief that success will lead to stress and loss of personal time. This conflicting belief can cause you to procrastinate, miss opportunities, or even sabotage your own success without realizing why. Even when you consciously want to achieve a goal, subconscious blocks can create resistance, keeping you from moving forward.

The subconscious mind operates objectively, following the orders of what you believe to be true. When those beliefs are limiting, they can create significant problems.

How to Align Your Conscious Desires with Your Subconscious Beliefs

To achieve your goals, it’s crucial to align your conscious desires with your subconscious beliefs. By identifying and releasing your hidden blocks, your subconscious mind will no longer hold you back, allowing you to move toward your goals with greater ease.

Steps to Uncover Limiting Patterns

Becoming aware of self-sabotaging behaviors requires self-reflection and a willingness to look honestly at your patterns. Here are some steps you can take:

  1. Reflect on Your Patterns:

    • Look for repeated behaviors where you fall short of achieving your goals despite having the necessary skills and opportunities.

    • Identify situations where you consistently feel stuck or make little progress.

  2. Example: Despite being qualified, you avoid applying for higher positions or new job opportunities due to fear of failure or rejection. Or, you repeatedly attract partners who are emotionally unavailable, leading to a pattern of unfulfilling relationships.

  3. Recognize Emotional Reactions:

    • Pay attention to strong emotional reactions, such as fear, anxiety, or resistance, when pursuing specific goals.

  4. Analyze Behaviors and Habits:

    • Become aware of your daily habits and behaviors to see if they align with your goals or undermine them.

  5. Example: Do you often procrastinate or avoid tasks related to your goals? Do you make excuses or rationalize why you can’t move forward?

Discovering and Releasing Subconscious Blocks with Energy Healing

After trying multiple healing methods over the years, the fastest and easiest way I’ve found to discover and release subconscious blocks underlying self-sabotaging patterns is through an energy-based healing method known as the Emotion Code, Body Code, and Belief Code.

How Emotion Code, Body Code and Belief Code Works

These techniques work by tapping into the subconscious mind using muscle testing to find the energetic blocks at the root of your self-sabotaging patterns. It’s beneficial to work on one pattern at a time for the most effective results.

  • The Emotion Code: This method, which you can learn through the Emotion Code book by Dr. Bradley Nelson, helps you quickly identify and release trapped emotions stored in your body and subconscious mind. These trapped emotions can create imbalances or blockages that interfere with your well-being and success.
In a previous episode, I discussed the Emotion Code method in more detail, explaining how to tap into the subconscious mind to find and release stuck emotions quickly. You can find this episode linked in the podcast description. I’ve also created a free PDF guidebook that provides an introduction to the Emotion Code, which is available for download.

  • The Body Code and Belief Code: These more advanced techniques allow you to find and release deeper mental blocks like negative thought patterns and limiting beliefs. These methods require working with a certified practitioner or getting trained in all three levels of this healing modality.

Real-Life Example of Overcoming Procrastination

To illustrate the power of these techniques, let’s consider a client who struggled with procrastination—a pattern many of us can relate to. Procrastination can stem from various causes, such as fear of failure, perfectionism, or even fear of success.

In her case, procrastination was connected to a fear of failure and not achieving the desired outcome from specific actions. This fear was tied to limiting beliefs around worthiness, control, and safety, such as "Intelligent people don't make mistakes" and negative thought patterns like "I'm overwhelmed," "I'm a fraud," and "I can't win."

Once we energetically released her specific blocks, she immediately began working on career-related tasks that she had been avoiding for a long time. She approached these tasks with renewed confidence, motivation, and ease, without the resistance she had previously experienced.

Final Thoughts: You Have the Power to Overcome Self-Sabotage

You don’t need to live with self-sabotaging patterns any longer or keep delaying your dreams. I know because that was me. I cycled in self-sabotaging patterns for years and felt like my dream life was out of reach due to the massive resistance I couldn’t seem to shake.

Overcoming your self-sabotaging patterns is possible, and you too have the power to achieve your goals. By aligning your subconscious mind with your conscious desires, you can break free from the patterns holding you back and live the life you truly desire.
